All users of Trust My Landlord must:

- Respect the rights and dignity of other users.
- Provide truthful and verifiable information in all reports and submissions.
- Engage constructively in the reporting and resolution process.
- Comply with all applicable UK laws and regulations.
3. Prohibited Conduct
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
3.1 False or Misleading Information
- Submitting false, fabricated, or deliberately misleading reports.
- Creating fake accounts or impersonating another person.
- Uploading falsified evidence or documentation.
- Misrepresenting your identity, role, or relationship to a tenancy.
3.2 Score Manipulation
- Coordinating with others to submit false reports to inflate or deflate a Trust Score.
- Offering incentives (financial or otherwise) for positive or negative reports.
- Using multiple accounts to manipulate scoring outcomes.
- Threatening tenants, landlords, or agents in connection with reports or scores.
3.3 Harassment and Abuse
- Harassing, threatening, or intimidating other users.
- Using the platform to pursue personal vendettas unrelated to genuine tenancy issues.
- Publishing defamatory, discriminatory, or offensive content.
- Retaliating against a user for submitting a legitimate report.
3.4 Technical Abuse
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to the platform, other accounts, or our systems.
- Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the Service without our written consent.
- Introducing malicious software, viruses, or other harmful code.
- Interfering with or disrupting the platform's infrastructure or performance.
4. Reporting Violations
If you believe another user has violated this Acceptable Use Policy, please report it to us at [email protected]. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
5. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in:
- A warning or request to correct the behaviour.
- Temporary suspension of your account.
- Permanent removal from the platform.
- Removal of false or misleading content and reports.
- Referral to law enforcement where appropriate.
We reserve the right to take any action we deem necessary to protect the integrity of the platform and the safety of our users.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
